2 Corinthians: 6-10
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:
“He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to
the poor;
His righteousness
endures forever.”
It is a very difficult time for all of us, some may have lost their job or not having enough work to make a living. We have to make sure that we support each other during these very testing times. Together as a community and with the Grace of God we’ll be able to pass this hurdle.
With the closure of our churches as an interim step to avoid the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we can no longer give of our tithes (????) via
our traditional means. Our Church expenses do not stop despite our doors being temporarily closed. We pray for the doors to open and the congregation of our Church to flock back eagerly. Until such time, if you can continue to donate to the Church, we encourage you to do so.
If you can give your tithe to one of the fathers please do so. You can also pay directly to the church’ General account:
BSB: 062 199 AC: 00903117
You can use your credit card or via PayPal by visiting our Church website at www.stanthony.org.au/pay-donate
We “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) for our Church to host The Holy Liturgy in front of her congregation as soon as possible. Until then, may God reward your donations and bless you. May you “receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.” Luke 18:30 Pray that we ALL meet at CHURCH soon, God willing.
